What is a referral visa?
Tanzania Referral visas are granted to those countries that need special clearance to travel to Tanzania.
Who is eligible for a Tanzania Referral visa?
Some citizens of selected countries cannot get Tanzania Visa on Arrival. These citizens, prior to arriving in Tanzania needs to seek approval from the Commissioner-General of Immigration or the Commissioner of Immigration (Zanzibar).

- Mauritania

- Tajikistan
- Turkmenistan
- Uzbekistan
Further, eligible people are:
- Refugees
- Stateless.
Requirements of Referral visa
- Valid passport
- passport size photographs of the applicant
- Certificate of Incorporation
- TIN
- Business License
- National ID
- Resident permit
- Visa Fee
- Completed Security Bond
- Refugees in possession of Vienna Convention documents (Travel Documents) must also get a referral visa before entering Tanzania.
- Stateless people and refugees with Vienna Convention credentials must additionally get a referral visa before entering Tanzania.

Rules
Applicants of Referral visas are advised to wait for their visas to get approved before they make any flight or hotel reservations.
Apply for Referral visas before 2 months of the date of travel.

Remember:
Even if an immigrant possesses a Tanzania visa, he or she could be rejected by the authorities in charge of Entry ports of Tanzania if they find it fit.
Local Laws
- Tourists should carry their Ids all the time, officers could ask for identification at any required time.
- Do not wear revealing or short clothes in Tanzania.
- Short or revealing clothes can cause tourists a fine as well.

If tested positive for Covid 9 at arrival, then you tourist would be quarantined for 14 days.
