INTRODUCTION
The government of Taiwan announced that they will be easing the visa requirements for Colombian citizens. The Columbia pact is a step towards improving relations between the two nations and opening up trade opportunities. This new agreement allows Columbians to travel to Taiwan without a visa on the condition that they are only staying for 14 days or less, with an option to apply for a single entry transit visa valid for 30 days if needed. Columbia nations can now travel to Taiwan visa-free as of July 1, 2017. The new rule will apply to Columbians and other nationalities who have a valid U.S. passport and an onward or return ticket to the United States, Canada, Australia, or New Zealand for one of the following purposes.
