WHAT IS UGANDA INVESTOR VISA?

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THIS VISA?
Uganda introduced an Investor visa to promote investors to invest in Uganda. The government introduced a One-stop centre through Investment Act 2019 and helped to reduce the long process of permits.
The one-stop centre provides both service and information to investors. Also, it hosts private and public companies that are responsible for facilitating investment.
WHAT ARE THE STEPS TO INVEST IN UGANDA?
First, you are required to register your company with URSB (Uganda Registration Service Bureau). The registered companies are available at the e-biz portal.
Then you need to register for a Tax Identification Number with Uganda Revenue Authority and you can do this physically as well as online.
You can visit the URA office to register and if you wish to do it online then register at the URA website.
Your next step is getting an Investment licence. This is a compulsory requirement for all investors. Foreign nationals require 2,50,000 USD to get the investor licence. If your investor visa application fits into the criteria given by my government then your visa can be issued within 48 hours.
