WHAT TO DO AT THE WEEKEND IN LESOTHO
It's no surprise that Maseru's nightclub falls short of that of South Africa's large cities, and if you're prepared to look for it, you'll find it. Several of the city's main 5 stars hotels have discos and even casinos, making them attractive choices for anyone seeking a weekend out. Maseru Club is an expensive sports and "gentleman's bar" located on United Nations Road in Maseru. Its "membership exclusively" classification is weakly maintained, but it's filled with foreigners and businesspeople. Performing arts is available in some restaurants and hotels. There seem to be a number of theatres in the region.
Lesotho's evenings, particularly in the mountains, are rather cool. Bring plenty of warm clothing! Even the smallest sections of Lesotho are in the Drakensberg hill range's slopes. It can get quite chilly, particularly in the winter. Note that perhaps the climates differ from those in the United States and Europe, so dress appropriately. Add a warm sleeping bag, a lantern, and a water filter to clean water from waterways if visitors intend on walking for several days. Also, don't forget to bring some decent mountaineering boots. If you're too cold, a Basotho shawl, which is used both by males and females in Lesotho, can be purchased.
LESOTHO CURRENCY
The Maloti is Lesotho's principal currency, and it is linked to the South African Rand. African Rand is the currency of Africa. Maloti and South African Rand are used similarly. Maloti is exclusively sold in Lesotho which is not available in Many Countries. To use the Visa or Mastercard networks, world currencies can be converted for Maloti and Rand at most resorts, financial institutions and Atm, and forex offices throughout Lesotho. Hotel, community banks, and exchange bureaus are all places where travellers' checks can be converted.
