What are the Tanzania Immigration Laws you need to abide by?
- You need to apply for a visa with a valid passport
- Make sure to include your confirmed air tickets with your application; this will provide confirmation to the authorities that you will be departing the country after a specific period of time.
- You will be asked to submit your proof of stay.
- If you are going to Tanzania for work or business purposes, you will be needed to apply for a Tanzania Business visa.
- You are not allowed to work on your Tourist visa.
- You can apply for a visa extension but you are not allowed to stay consecutively for more than 3 months in a row.
Remember if you fail to abide by any of these, your application would be easily rejected by the government.

How to Apply for a Tanzania Immigrant visa?
To get a visa for the United Republic of Tanzania you need to get a Tanzania visa application and fill it with the required information. The visa asks for supporting documents that act as proof of your information. Once you provide your documents, the next thing you will be asked to do is pay for a visa using your debit or credit card.
After payment confirmation, your visa will be processed by the authorities.
You will receive your visa through your email if 'Approved'. You can also track your visa status online.
After you receive your visa, print it out for getting it stamped in the entry ports of Tanzania.
Remember to:
- Use active valid cards for payment
- Book your flight tickets and hotel reservation earlier
- Provide the correct email address.

What is Visa Extension?
If you wish to stay longer than you previously intended, then you can apply for a visa extension.
If you extended, your visa validity will be of 12 months however you need to depart the country after consecutively staying for 3 months.
